My latest Dentist visit inspired my purchasing and installing "ShowerBreeze" by Oral Breeze. (Water teeth flosser.)
My parents had a waterpik and barely used it. Each use required setting it up, filling it with water, using it, then cleaning it and the entire bathroom after each use. It became a dust magnet on their counter. As a result, I was never inspired to get one. Being able to use this in the shower eliminates all that setup and cleanup, resulting in willingness to use this water flosser as part of my daily routine.
I did a lot of shopping around before buying, and this model was the best available by far. The valve appears to be chrome-plated brass and well-made. Installation was simple, although I will need to shorten the hose. The seller told me to shorten it from the handle side (not at the valve, as they get lots of calls from people who improperly re-assemble the compression fitting at the valve.) I was concerned that the shower pressure would be reduced, but I didn't notice a change. My only disappointment is that my plumbing fixtures are brushed nickel, and this valve only comes if chrome.
It is embarrassing to say what a difference this thing is making. I always thought my gums were fine with just brushing and floss picks, but they clearly were not. I previously upped my brushing game with a rechargeable Oral-B toothbrush, and that alone was a game-changer. I wish I had both of these as a teen, as my dental bills wouldn't have existed.
